Saying Goodbye to 2019 and Hello to 2020

While we’re excited for all of the great things that are coming up in 2020, we wanted to take some time to reflect on our incredible year of growth in 2019.

This year, we sold over 6,800 machines, resulting in a 28% increase in gross sales. We added 300 new site locations along the way and secured some big-time partnerships with companies like Global Partners LP, Hennessy Industries, and RNR Tire Express.

To account for our growth in sales, we invested in a brand new workspace and hired 12 new team members. Four of those employees were former members of our team that we are thrilled to welcome back to the Excel Tire Gauge family.

Despite all we’ve grown, we don’t plan on stopping here. As you may have noticed, our website got a fresh new look that will improve customer communications and continue to develop along with our marketing efforts. We also overhauled our social media marketing strategy to provide more valuable information to our customers. We have been much more active on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter lately.

Speaking of marketing, we really stepped up our game this year and created a new marketing team. Our internal team will work hand-in-hand with Integrated Media Group (IMG) to help grow our brand through 2020 and beyond. IMG is a full-service digital marketing agency that services hundreds of clients across the country to grow their revenue. We can’t wait to see what our new team of marketing experts can accomplish together.

While we were focusing on our digital marketing efforts, we also worked hard to market ourselves in person. Our team spent a lot of time on the road, traveling to businesses and trade shows to get in touch with some of our great customers and potential contacts face-to-face. We truly appreciated the opportunity to meet so many passionate and driven professionals in the convenience store, tire shop, fleet, auto rental, dealership, and car wash industries.

Not all of our travel was for marketing purposes. One of our favorite trips of this year was when we visited the Discount Tire Headquarters in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona to help fundraise for the Bruce T. Halle Assistance Fund. The incredible charity provides necessities such as shelter, food, and clothing to employees within the Discount Tire family while in transition from a disaster, fire, storm, or injury. The charity also covers medical bills for life-threatening illness or emergency treatment above what insurance covers.

In total, we attended close to 30 charity events throughout 2019. It always feels great to be able to help others in need and to be part of those efforts was a humbling experience.

As we look back on 2019, we would like to thank all of our customers and partners for helping to make this year special. We would also like to thank our incredible employees for all of the hard work they put in this year. We can’t wait to see what 2020 has in store for us.

Global Partners LP Teams Up With Excel Tire Gauge For Revenue Sharing Deal

Excel Tire Gauge is proud to announce that we are partnering with Global Partners LP to provide the Global family of convenience stores with air machines and vacuum units. As part of a revenue-sharing deal, we have installed our equipment at some of Global Partners’ 300 gas station and convenience store locations across New England over the last 3-4 months so far.

The Global family, which includes Alltown, Alltown Fresh, Xtra Mart, and Honey Farms, is expected to experience a variety of benefits along with a boost in revenue. Traffic to these stores is predicted to increase as Excel digital air machines are typically used 30% more often than the competition’s machines. Customer loyalty is also expected to improve as customers will experience a faster and easier tire filling process. Custom branded decals on the machines will help customers associate Global Partners’ brands with a positive inflation experience.

Consumers who frequent the Global Family of Convenience Stores are expected to benefit from an easier, faster, and more precise tire filling experience along with the added convenience of having a vacuum nearby.

With this partnership, Global Partners LP is taking advantage of a great opportunity. An average of 250 million U.S. drivers pay to fill their tires at gas stations and convenience stores every year. Providing that audience with the best possible experience and technology is a move that has the potential to create long term sales increases.

For our team at Excel, this partnership provides a chance to increase revenue while helping us continue to improve our brand image in the Northeast. We are thrilled to associate ourselves with one of the strongest convenience store ownership groups in the region.
